The Department of Nursing is led by a skilled nursing administrative team, with the Director of Nursing (DON) holding ultimate responsibility for its functions. Together with your attending physician, the nursing staff and interdisciplinary care team will develop a personalized care plan for you.
To ensure continuous care, qualified nursing personnel are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each nursing unit is appropriately staffed with professional nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, with staffing levels tailored to meet the specific care needs of patients, consistently exceeding regulatory standards.
Your room is equipped with a call bell system, and we encourage you to use it whenever you need assistance. Promoting and maintaining your independence is a key part of your care, and our focus is always on helping you achieve your optimal level of functioning.
A comprehensive interdisciplinary care plan is developed to meet your specific needs shortly following admission and periodically thereafter. You, your family, and/or your responsible party are encouraged to attend the care conference meetings at which time the care plan, as well as other issues such as expectations, are discussed. These meetings provide a formal opportunity to ask questions of those staff directly involved in your care. Communication will be sent to your family and/or responsible party to notify them of the date and time of the conference. You will be invited to attend the care conference. In the event your family members are unable to attend scheduled meeting times, arrangements can be made for telephone conferencing.

The goal of our Therapeutic Recreation Department is to provide a stimulating variety of recreational programs on an individual, small and large group basis. Programming includes musical entertainment, games (trivia, bingo, cards bingo etc.), exercise, gardening, craft projects, movies, pet therapy, intergenerational activities, and community outings. The Director of Therapeutic Recreation plans a monthly schedule of activities, programs and special events. Calendars are distributed to your room and are also posted on every resident unit. Our therapeutic recreation staff determines activity interest by completing an activities assessment for each new resident. This assessment is a tool, which staff utilizes to develop individualized programs for residents.
